Opening Act - Coyote Moon
The BVMC is very fortunate to have a great band Coyote Moon who open and host most of our shows in fine fashion. In terms of musical style we are never sure of what to expect with folk, western, blues and good old rock 'n roll thrown in!! Whatever the musical genre they are sure to entertain.
The members of Coyote Moon are Larry Taylor, Dave Hamilton, Georgina Skebo, Mike Dunlop, Rob Widdowson and John Clarke (Left to right on the photo.

John Clarke, piano and vocals has released a CD of his original songs. John's CD is "Miles On My Heart" and was released in 1999. John, who has yet to have a bad hair day, is known for his great original songs about sailing, riding buses and horses. John tells more jokes during one show than most of us tell in a year!! And is always ready to help the guitar players tune their instruments on stage!
Mike Dunlop, drummer man, is sadly trapped in sixties music, and is the bands true aficionado of rock and roll music and other assorted trivia. To date, Mike has not seen a good reason to move beyond that "60's sound", however will oblige the band at great coaxing from time to time. Likes to stick with his sticks but often must stick with his brushes (inside joke).
Dave Hamilton not only plays the guitar, he is a master of
the guitar. Dave has only won the "Alberta Instrumentalist
of the Year" award 3 times. Likes to throw in the odd 60's
Ventures instrumental (which Mike really likes). So Walk Don't
Run to see Dave hit the strings at our concerts and don't
Sleepwalk or you will be disappointed. Dave is also actively
involved in studio production for many artists and can be
reached at Hamiltone Productions at www.countrypickin.com/hamiltone.
Georgina Skebo provides great vocals and is the bands resident, self described "blonde chic" and yodeler, which may prove useful on that yet to be announced tour of the Swiss Alps! Her renditions of great western tunes like Night Rider's Lament or Cowboy Sweetheart are truly spell binding. Not to mention that Nancy Sinatra classic, These Boots are Made for Walking!
Larry Taylor plays guitar and bass and usually is the Master
of Ceremonies for the shows. Since discovering chamois, his
guitar and bass playing have never looked back!
Rob Widdowson also provides great vocals along with guitar/bass
playing. Rob has released two recordings of his original songs.
Rob's most recent CD being "Slightly Older, Barely Wiser"
which is apt and was released in 2002. A man of many voices,
impressions and great shirts.
Coyote Moon are available for outside bookings for weddings, dances or what have you. Contact Larry at (403) 255-3609 for more information.
